This is one of those shows where we always have reruns sitting in our DVR. It is one of our favorite go to TV shows to watch. And now that my son is almost 12 he understands the humor and we love watching episodes together. Of course I am an addict with all things, so I also own all the seasons on DVD and Blu-ray with many episodes downloaded on my iPad for airplane trips.
And to think Jim Parsons has almost no real science knowledge. This is a clue as to how brilliant an actor he is, he portrays the nerdy and brilliant Sheldon to a “T.”
And do you remember when Mayim Bialik’s character first appeared? She was the robotic version of Sheldon if that is possible. Every time she appeared on screen I gave her an Emmy award!
I was compelled to write this post because my son and I were enjoying recent episodes and we kept laughing so hard! Years later this show is still hilarious.
And special shout out to the moms, Carol Ann Susi, Howard’s mom on the show. may she rest in peace. We never saw her face but we knew her character backwards and forwards. Best Jewish mother of all time, she inspires me in my co-dependent relationship with my son! Rounded out by Laurie Metcalf and Christine Baranski. Brilliant women, and perfect in their characterizations of moms to super nerds, one is a super religious woman, and one is a super, super intellectual.

Nice tribute to one of my favorite shows.
One of my all-time favorites! We have watched the early episodes so many times that we quote the lines along with them. This show never gets old.
