It all starts with one coupon. Almost monthly, P & G publishes a coupon booklet for the Sunday papers. Somehow I am able to find an extra 10 of these in the neighborhood, laying in front of the neighborhood brownstones! And yes, I have my friend Bills permission to take al the ones from in front of the property that he owns around the corner!
The Pantene coupon inside recently has been $5 off of the purchase of 3 bottles. Almost monthly CVS has these on sale 3 for $10! So you can get 3 for $5 after coupon usage!
Well, that is by far not enough for me. I wait and “stack” my coupons with other deals. Most recently the deal was: spend $30 on P & G products and get $10 in extrabucks from CVS. Using the above scenario that translates to a net cost of $5 for 9 bottles! Isn’t that awesome? Yes, but it is still not enough!
I sometimes have other coupons such as $6 off of a CVS purchase of $30. This past week I had $10 off of $40. Again, looking above, using four Pantene coupons, we are looking at a net cost of tax. Yes, only tax.
And for this little piggy, this is still not enough!
$40 in Pantene products goes towards your beauty club deal of getting a $5 extrabucks coupon for spending $50 in beauty products. So by my calculation I have another $4 coming to me!
If shopping this way interests you, the first thing you need to do is get the CVS Extra Care card. You get other deals with that as well, but that is what you need to start on this journey. Link that card up to your email to get the bonus coupons!
The next thing to do is join the Beauty Club. Even guys can join! You also get a free coupon on your birthday! Then start hoarding coupon booklets every weekend! I have my mother, mother-in-law and a few sister-in-laws on the lookout constantly!
But here’s the problem. It turns out I have done this deal so often over the past year that I am finding Pantene all over the house! I have to take a break! It is not easy hiding 5 dozen bottles of shampoo!
I love CVS If I want to surprise the cashier I would have to go in with no coupons or extrabucks
