You may remember that I have written about Gorton’s in the past, it was this novice cook’s first foray into feeding my boys fish for dinner, and they were instantly hooked. It, and Gorton’s are now a staple in our freezer! Especially after a sale at the supermarket in my mother-in-law’s neighborhood, I have been known to buy so much I have to leave some in her freezer (with strict instructions not to touch!). They forgot to mention this is not farmed fish, this is wild fish. I closely monitor where the food we eat comes from, now that I have a child and care about his health and nutrition, something that never concerned me as a single adult. Wild caught fish is better quality and healthier than farmed fish! I choose wild fish as often as possible and, as thrifty as I am, I am happy to pay more for wild caught fish! I am thrilled I can get it from Gorton’s!

Panko? Did we even know what panko was a few years ago? If I would have mentioned that to my dad five years ago he would have called me a “food yuppie.” Now even they have panko bread crumbs in their house! Also, this works perfectly for my hubby, he loves the extra crunch of panko, I am no longer allowed to make breaded cutlets at home without it!

From oven to table! My guys chowed down, half the fish sticks did not even make it onto the bread we were having it on for dinner, after all, it was casual Sunday!
