“Brandon looks back on Callie and Jude’s first Christmas with the Foster family in an all-new holiday-themed episode of “The Fosters,” airing Monday, December 8 at 8:00 p.m. ET/PT on ABC Family.
As Callie and Jude spend their first Christmas with the Fosters, Callie feels the sting of still being an official foster kid while Jude’s guilt over having been adopted has him overcompensating. Stef feels that Grandma Sharon’s (guest star Annie Potts, “Any Day Now”) gift giving is excessive, especially when she learns where the money is coming from. Lena must face her own bias against another family member.
Meanwhile, Jesus enters the neighborhood house decorating competition and is accused of cheating by his neighbor Mr. Nesbit (guest star Michael Fairman, “The Young and the Restless”).”
Winner of 2014’s Television Academy Honors Award and GLAAD Media Award for Outstanding Drama Series, “The Fosters” is executive-produced by Jennifer Lopez!
I met some of the Foster’s today, Maia Mitchell (Callie Quinn Jacob), Cierra Ramirez (Mariana Adams Foster), and David Lambert (Brandon Foster).
I did not ask them any questions. Instead I let them know that their family on TV helps my family in real life. I had no role models growing up in the last century, in regards to the family unit that I would one day be a part of. Knowing that my son is growing up in a time when families similar to his are represented on TV makes me feel safer. And I told these kids that. I let them know that their work and their show had meaning for my family and helped us feel like we are a part of the American fabric. They truly appreciated that! Additionally, it is a great show!

Disclosure: I was invited to the ABC Family Holiday Event in NYC in celebration of ABC Family’s “25 Days of Christmas.” I received no compensation for this post. All opinions are always 100% honest and my own.
It’s nice to see families of all types being portrayed in different venues. It helps kids see that all kinds of people exist and we are all similar in one way or another. Thank you for sharing!
I love both these shows. It’s wonderful to see different types of families being represented!
We missed this one. I am sure it was a great show. Thank you for sharing
