“March into mobilized Nerf blaster battles with the Combat Creatures TerraDrone, a remote-controlled, dart-firing drone from the Nerf brand! Move the Combat Creatures TerraDrone shooter in different directions on its spidery legs to launch robotic attacks and dodge incoming enemy darts. Battle your friends and unleash rapid-fire dart-blasting action. Take control of the ultimate battle drone!
This insectoid-looking creature is a remote-controlled battle drone that fires Elite darts. The 6-legged RC shooter is capable of walking on different terrains, and can move forward, backward and side-to-side. Its head is a dart launcher that elevates and rotates a full 360 degrees so you can adjust the blast direction and angle to fire with precision.”
I live in a NYC apartment with a toy bin that can usually be seen outside a suburban house. We need it in here to store all our weaponry! Some Nerf contributed to us by Hasbro, and many other Nerf armaments contributed to us by my coupon sharp skills at the stores!
When my son has a play date, the boys inevitably get to the weapons and pretty much take everything out of the bin. Their latest venue is the apartment building hallway for their battles! It is a lot of fun and thankfully the neighbors have not complained (yet!).
When I saw this latest Nerf weapon I begged to review it! It is so very cool the way it “walks” over all terrain, which in our house is carpeting or a wood floor. And I love that it looks like a 6 legged insect!
It looks spider like, but spiders have eight legs. Having a science minded son, one learns this stuff! I did enjoy shooting at my cameraman by the way!
Features:
– The ultimate battle drone – Attack from a distance!
– RC robot moves forward, backward and side-to-side – from the remote control in your hand!
– Fires Elite darts up to 45 feet – we wish we had that distance available!
– Head elevates and rotates to adjust blast angle – so very cool to be able to shoot in so many directions!
– Robotic drone comes with controller and 12 Elite darts – plus the thousands more we have on hand at home from all our other Nerfs!
• Ages 8 and up (up to at least 55, my age!).
• Controller requires 2 AA alkaline batteries and blaster requires 4 AA batteries (batteries not included). As a dad who is prepared, I buy my batteries at the bog box stores, this way I always have about 24 of each size on hand!
• Assembly required – that’s what my spouse is for!
This is a must have for the 2014 holiday season!
Disclosure: We received this awesome toy for review. All opinions are 100% honest and our own.
