On day 2 of our Toyota Ride and Drive trip we took the Sienna out for a spin. We drove to a Jacksonville beach area! The senery was gorgeous, the company was wonderful, and the car ride smooth as can be. As I stated in my Toyota Camry post earlier this week, I am very brand loyal. I wold happily be leasing this next size car if it were feasible for our family living in NYC. The day we move to suburbia is the day I move up to the Sienna! I dream of visits to Costco with the huge space in the back to fill up with all the items I love to buy!
The 2015 Sienna is the only family van to offer an all-wheel drive option. That screams “safety” to me. This would be perfect for us when we take our son to sleep away camp, we cold barely see out the windows last Summer when we had to pack several plastic drawers/bins. And by several, I mean five.
The rear seat entertainment system has a blu-ray player, something we would love! More importantly all Sienna models now come standard with a backup camera and three-zone automatic climate control. This would be the car we would upgrade to, as I stated in the earlier post, I trust Toyota with my family’s safety, I am on my fourth Toyota Camry car lease, and I have no intention of moving to another brand in the foreseeable future.
The Toyota Yaris costs under $15,000. That shocked me. Toyota quality in a car that costs $10,000 less than what I am paying for my Camry, for which I am already paying a very fair price!
The Yaris is a smaller car and I wanted to know what that meant physically for me. I am a large man with a football player like physique (hey, it’s my blog, so it’s my definition!), and I was sitting in the rear of the Yaris with a friend from the trip who is a six foot tall woman. We fit in this smaller car without any problem. And, while with us larger folk in the back there was no extra space, there is a third seat belt if you had three kids to seat back there. This could work as a family car for people on a budget who want Toyota quality!
This is also a great starter family for younger people who want Toyota quality at the least expensive price!
I am a lifestyle blogger who shares his opinions with you. They are all 100% honest and true. There are many places to see other statistics in relation to all these cars, but that is not the purpose of my writing, I am not an auto blogger. I am thrilled that my first car trip was with the brand my family and I have been loyal to for over a decade. This may make it impossible for me to ever accept a car trip with any other brand! I am OK with that!
The Sienna looks really great for trips and that cracked me up when I read that you dream of trips to Costco with this vehicle. Too true lots of room for groceries. The Yaris looks cute but too small and scary for me.
