“Welcome to the middle of Nowhere, Kansas. Population: one kind old lady, one crabby old man, one timid dog and all sorts of creepy creatures, scary monsters and crazed villains! It’s a living nightmare for poor Courage, who faces these unthinkable dangers with his body shaking and his tail between his legs. But Courage loves his sweet Muriel and grumpy Eustace, so he digs deep to find the strength to save his beloved family from deadly weremoles, dark shadows and other sinister elements that pop up all over this terrifying town. With clever nods to classic horror films, this action-packed animated series keeps laughs and scares coming as Courage outwits evil with his singular brand of bravery.”
In Season 2 the strangeness does not let up! In each adventure Courage must face his fears, whether it be by saving the sun, win a break dancing battle against an insecure robot, or capture an opera loving sea serpent!
This is yet another Cartoon Network show that my son loves. And this is one I can at least understand! I love and relate to Courage myself, I am scared of many things, but face my fears as I am a parent. Courage feels very strong about facing his fears to protect his owners, Muriel and Eustace. The episodes are very well written, and the villains are always interesting!
All 13 episodes from Season 2 are here on 2 discs. I am thrilled to have this in our collection as this is a show that we can watch over and over again!
And some trivia! Courage the Cowardly Dog originated from a short on Cartoon Network’s animation show case series created by Hanna-Barbera president Fred Siebert, titled “The Chicken From Outer Space.” The segment was nominated for an Academy Award in 1996! Cartoon Network commissioned the series based on the short! Courage, the cowardly dog that could!

This is actually my favorite cartoon so the question is, Why don’t I have this one yet. I guess I’ll have to correct that mistake and purchase one. I relate to Courage too, Mitch, and try to face my fears too.
