I was asked to participate in a campaign with P&G showing how we use their products to be #NYTough. This is in addition to the fact that just walking outside your door in New York City makes you NY Tough!
The streets of NY are crowded. And the subways and buses are even more crowded. We are hearty eaters in my house and you don’t want to smell our tuna, egg salad, or plain old simple chronic halitosis breathe when you are stuck underground, or in the case of my spouse, in a work meeting. You know our Crest is #NYTough, because you have spoken to me at blog events or seen me on a trip and I always have fresh breathe, this stuff works:
My spouse could go through a bottle a day of the Crest mouthwash if I let him! I on the other hand love having mouthwash in my toothpaste, I feel like I am multitasking!
I am also stocking up on Febreze now as the odors in my tween’s room are tough, but thankfully Febreze is tougher! I go through at least a bottle a week between his room and the living room. And if you follow me on social media, in two months I may very well be saying the dog’s stink is tough, but a Febreze bottle in each hand is tougher! I am getting ready!
My spouse insisted that I add that cleaning the remains of burnt food in pots and pans is tough, Using Dawn Ultra is tougher. I think he is trying to say something about my cooking, he is the one doing the dishes afterwards, I suppose he knows!
Wearing a navy blue or black shirt is tough, using Head & Shoulders daily is tougher. Don’t you hate wiping flakes off of your clothes! I like choices so this is what is on my shower shelf:
Which I found out on Tuesday night puts me in the NFL! The No Flake Club! Yes, I was at the #NYTough comedy showcase at Caroline’s Comedy Club in NYC where Marlon Wayans hosted Sherri Shepherd, Michelle Buteau, and Michael Che! They get credit for the NFL line!
These guys were hysterical! They related their comedy to the various #NYTough P&G brands participating in this campaign! Marlon Wayans spoke about how growing up Dawn dish detergent sometimes had to double as bath soap! Sherri mentioned how when leaving her last job she used Bounty to wrap gifts so they wouldn’t break, and later Marlon mentioned how growing up, the #NYTough Bounty paper towels sometimes had to double as cakes plate! Eat the cake, fold over the Bounty, and you have a napkin!
In addition to the products I have already mentioned, Tide and Secret Deodorant are part of the campaign! I would love to hear which of these seven P&G products keep you #NYTough!
Disclosure: This is a sponsored post on behalf of the P&G #NYTough campaign. All opinions are always 100% honest and my own.
And I did get a good celebrity shot with Michael Che who just left the Daily Show and is headed to Saturday Night Live!
I have used many of those products myself over the years. P&G is a trusted brand, so I go with what works.
I have pretty much used each of these products at some point over the years. All of them are great, but I think I use blue Dawn most of all just because it has so many wonderful uses.
That’s a lot of toughness with all of these products! I use Tide and Gain which are both P&G and I use them because they WORK.
Lots of our favorite family products! I love that you run into celebrities who are leaving the Daily Show. 🙂 Very cool.
Proctor and Gamble makes so many great brands I use around the house. We always have Crest toothpaste on hand. It’s the only brand my daughter will even use!
Love P&G product. Differently a brand we use in our home.
It’s gotta be Tide. With a 14 year old boy and all of his grungy 14 year old friends coming and going, Tide is my best friend.
I love Crest toothpaste and mouthwash! I have used it for years and never had a reason to try anything else.
I always thought companies like Crest should give sample sized bottles to restaurants to put on bad breath food like garlic bread lol. We are big fans of P&G products, so Crest makes its way into our bathroom often!
Lucky you! I would love to be there. I love Marlon Wayans. I am with you on the toothpaste with mouthwash combo
The subway can be a seriously cringe worthy place! You have to be tough to trek there!
With a house full of boys, Tide is my tough friend. Boys just smell. 😉
What a fun campaign for NYTough. We are definitely a P&G family.
I love Tide and Febreeze has been a staple here with a 14 year old son.
I’m southern girl tough. 😉 Secret is a must for the humidity down here.
What a fun campaign P&G has put together! We use many of their products in our home.
P&G is definitely tough. I’ve many of their products through the years–reliable as well. Thank you for sharing!
I’ve tried many dish washing detergents and always go back to Dawn. It’s the best for cutting grease, for sure. P&G makes tons of great products, they really are a quality brand.
I love this! P&G is awesome and I agree whole-heartedly that NY is tough. I also agree with your spouse about the Dawn. Dawn is serious business! This is my first visit to your blog and I think it’s wonderful. You’ve got a new fan in me. 🙂
Dawn is the bomb! I don’t want to live without it!
That’s a lot of toughness! I have used many of these products throughout the years. Having fresh breath is important!
Febreeze is a lifesaver when you have kids! I agree on the Dawn Ultra too!
We like Dawn ultra too! Nothing else seems to get the dishes as clean, without putting WAY more effort into it.
just saw Michael Che on snl! I think he is going to be so funny!
Ha ha – I love the first image. Garlicky Pizza Breath is tough. Crest is tougher. Love it!
How fun!! I’m a big fan of p&g products…especially Dawn!!
This post reminded me that I need to stock up on some Febreze. Our dog is a stinky girl! LOL!
Sounds like that was a fun comedy show. Looking forward to checking out Michael on SNL!
What a fun campaign, Mitch! I just love P&G products and how they’re reaching the NY crowd 🙂
Ahh, awesome picture! Our dishwasher has been broken down for a couple weeks so we’ve been using more Dawn than we normally do… it’s definitely tough!
