We have seen all the Marvel movies, and loved them all. My son is addicted to the action, the fighting, and the weaponry. And we just saw The Guardians of the Galaxy movie a few weeks ago (it was my second time), so it is fresh in our minds.
To be able to play as some of these Marvel characters seems to be something fantastic for my son as he cannot stop playing.
The set comes with Thor, Ironman and the Black Widow:
There is a power pack, the new Disney Infiinity 2.0 disc, and the platform. Great fun and adventures to start you off.
And then there are the five heroes from the Guardians of the Galaxy! I personally have been dying for a Groot in any form for the house!
My son cannot stop playing. He loves shooting the place up as Rocket Raccoon, and he loved the power up that enabled him, I mean Groot, to power through the ground and come up a a tree limb/hand further away, to cause mayhem!
This was our attempt at some video coverage, it was hard to get him away from playing:
We have already played the competitor’s game, the one with the portal, and we liked it a lot (review to come), but this is the one that is going to be the hottest holiday gift item of 2014. There are characters for both boys and girls, there is the ability to play in the Marvel Universe, the ability to mix in all of the Disney characters from Disney Infinity 1.0. and the ability to make your own Toy Boxes. And please note, we do not do a tech review, there are plenty of blogs for that. We just give the review from the perspective of an 11 year old avid video game player, and he loves it!
The game comes out Tuesday and I already have every store’s circular looking for a deal on more characters and power discs. At least I know what I will be spending my money on for the next 12 months!
Disclosure: We were sent the game and the extra characters for review. All opinions are always 100% honest and our own.

Santa brought my girls Disney Infinity for Christmas and little did we know that we needed XBox Live to play. Hoping we sign up for it soon so we can enjoy our fun characters.

My son’s are really interested in this, like a LOT A LOT …. I will have to check it out more. I know you can purchase games like this via the PS Store, but I do not quite understand, looks like we need something extra to be able to use the games….

There is no better review than a boy using the product and saying “you are buying A Lot more!” Sounds like a great toy/game and one that will most likely be on Christmas lists this year.
