In the season two premiere, Diggle and Felicity travel to Lian Yu to convince Oliver to return home to Starling City, where he finds things much worse than he imagined!
Starling City has been torn apart by the Undertaking, so the need for the hooded vigilante– now known as The Arrow – is more urgent than ever in the explosive second season of the hit action series based on DC Comics’ Green Arrow. After retreating to the island on which he was once stranded, Oliver Queen returns to protect his mother, sister and besieged company – , but comes to realize that allies and enemies have switched sides, and the stranglehold of evil on family, friends and city is diabolically linked to his fateful shipwreck. A once-tight comrade-at-arms and a strength-enhancing, yet mind-warping serum may prove to be the mightiest adversaries The Arrow has ever encountered. Can justice find its target in this breathlessly exciting, 23-episode Season Two? Or will all fall before the fury of Deathstroke?
Well, I know the answer. I received the season one set last year and thought I would take that opportunity to check out the series. I had heard good things about the show and quickly became addicted! I rapidly caught up on the first season and was then prepared for season two when it premiered last Fall!
As I will state in every single DVD review that I write, it is the extra bits that are the key! In this collection it starts with a documentary style telling of how Oliver Queen went from vigilante to hero. Also included are a detailing of how the visual effects are achieved on the show, and then how the fight sequences are shot for maximum realism!
Arrow star Stephen Amell is a very cool guy who gets social media. I have been following him on Facebook and he is very generous with his fans, he actually will host question and answer segments on the web! I do not follow him because he posts shirtless action pictures of himself from the episodes that are currently being filmed (yes I do!).
Lastly, two of my favorite actors from the Doctor Who universe are part of this show! John Barrowman of Doctor Who and Torchwood fame is a recurring actor on the show, and Doctor Who’s wife, somewhere on the Doctor’s timeline, Prof. Riversong, is also on the show! I love Alex Kingston! I can’t wait for the action of season three, about to premiere soon, I strongly suggest getting this season two Blu-ray/DVD collection on September 16th to catch up and be ready for it’s start!

Disclosure: I received this DVD for review. All opinions are always 100% honest and my own.
This is in my Top 5 of favorite shows. At first I was a little iffy…oh not another comic book show…can’t anyone be original anymore? But, it has grown on me and Stephen Amell is a stand-up guy.
