The show just won the Teen Choice Award for Best TV Drama last night (and five other Teen Choice Awards as well!)! And I chatted with 2 of the stars of the show just a few weeks ago at our Moms of ABC Family Mixer, Holly Marie Combs and Laura Leighton!
I have to admit that I was taken aback with running into Holly Marie Combs. Right off the back I had to tell her that I had been watching “Charmed” while working out at the gym. I caught up on all past seasons over several recent months, so after seeing her on the small screen, a lot, it was so weird to see her in person! She was very gracious and happy that I had enjoyed her work!
Holly is the mom of three boys, one of whom is almost my son’s age. She is one busy lady! It was a lot of fun to chat with Holly about our kids and parenting after being such a fan! And a good reminder for me to share with you, that for these folks, acting is a job, they still have a full family life, just like us. That means school meetings, playdates, and supermarket shopping!
And Laura Leighton was our other Pretty Little Liar star! Married to Dour Savant (Tom Scavo) from Desperate Housewives! I had no idea! Together they are raising four kids so they are yet another example of a busy Hollywood family juggling work, kids, family and making it all work. Again, that is our common ground, and makes chatting with all these lovely ladies so real! I am so excited to have met these two lovely ladies, right before their show won six Teen Choice Awards, the most of any in the TV category, just last night!

With Emily trying to convince Ali not to play into “A’s” hand, Spencer comes up with a plan B in case Ali decides to make the wrong decision. Please note that my new friend Laura does not appear in this week’s episode!

I’ll have to start watching this now. I remember Holly Marie Combs and was not aware of her work with this series. Thank you for sharing!
I guess we tend to jump to the conclusion that all actor and actresses have help raising their children. Perhaps we’ve seen it in tv and movies and don’t give it a second thought. But it’s so nice to have bloggers like yourself showing us some of the real lives of these people that work so hard to entertain us. I have hear a lot about this show, but never have watched. I now plan on watching and seeing what so many have been talking about.
I’m a big fan of the show I find it very entertaining and its good for more then just teen girls. which i am neither

I love this show. I admit I had never really paid attention to it and then starting watching the first 4 season on Netflix and then I was hooked. I watch every Tuesday.
