It is no longer science fiction. I saw it for myself. The future is now!
I went on a tour of a home with 15 different brand items that were all electronically connected thorugh a new app called Wink.
“Whether starting with one Wink-enabled product or many, the Wink app lets consumers personalize their experience to what works best for their home. For example, a consumer can operate just one light bulb or all of the light bulbs in a particular room, or they can group the light bulbs with other products in a particular area of their home. The Wink app makes consumers’ lives easier by letting them adjust the thermostat or turn lights off after leaving the house, or control energy savings by shutting off the air conditioner when leaving and turning it back on right before getting home.”
I liked the idea of being able to make sure my door was locked from my phone, but the best feature about this revolutionary app is that many home products can be operated from this one app, rather than having multiple apps for all the different items in your home. I can check the door, raise the blinds, start the air conditioner, or raise the garage door (I do hope to have one soon!), all from the Wink app. Home Depot has a myriad of Wink ready products, just look on the box for the Wink sign!
