I went to an event hosted by Adventures by Disney, blah, bah, blah. What is important for me to share with you is that I have already gone on an Adventure by Disney, and we are planning another one.
Our Disney Cruise was almost 9 years ago with my entire family (16 of us). My spouse and I had no interest in going on a cruise but my parents took us to celebrate their 50th wedding anniversary. Not only did we have a fantastic time, but our 2 1/2 year old son absolutely loved it. Between the first night’s show on deck with Mickey Mouse, to the freedom of Castaway Cay, we still cherish the wonderful memories from that cruise. Did I mention that the Captain of the boat renewed my parents wedding bows as they wore Mickey and Minnie ears!
We are now discussing our next Disney destination. For my parents 60th Anniversary. And my mom’s 80th birthday. And my husband’s 50th birthday! 2015 is going to be a big year and we are in family negotiations to take a Disney cruise in Europe! Do you know why we are choosing Disney? The ages of our group will run from 12 to 81. We implicitly trust Disney to be able to not only accommodate, but also to entertain, all of the various age groups in our family. We also know that Disney will create a story that will add to and help us remember some great memories that we will be making.
And at this recent event I learned how the Disney staff bring their magic wherever they go. Like having a medieval character pop out to talk to everyone in the streets of Venice. Or learn how to make mozzarella at a local farm. Things that would interest me and my son, and the rest of our adventurous families! Something immersive and local to get the real flavor of the land. That is why we pick Disney.
And now, in addition to the exotic trips that Adventures by Disney has to offer from the Galapagos to Egypt to a South African Safari, they also offer long weekend adventures with destinations such as NYC and San Francisco! What a great way to experience these towns with some Disney magic!
The other main quality that I feel strongly about is safety. I trust Disney to keep my family safe wherever we travel with them around the world.
Lastly is the subject of price because everyone knows that a Disney trip, whether to a park or on a cruise, or a hosted tour in Norway, is going to be pricey. That is why we do not plan these trips annually, that would not be in our budget. But for our huge family adventures we know that we will get what we pay for. We know that Disney will provide many wonderful experiences to create a lifetime of memories. They already have for me, I will never forget my 2 1/2 year old son telling my mom, “Grandma, look at me” as he ran into the safe waters of Castaway Cay, so proud of his freedom!
You have many reasons to celebrate. I would love to take a Disney cruise. Congrats!
