“Whether you need some last-minute condiments for your Memorial Day BBQ or forgot to pick up a gift for your friend’s baby shower, shoppers in Manhattan can now experience the convenience of same-day delivery with Google Shopping Express. Google Shopping Express’s diverse selection of vendors, including Babies”R”Us, Costco, Fairway Market, L’Occitane, Staples, Target, and Walgreens, makes it easy for users to fulfill all of their shopping needs in one-fell-swoop.”
Delivery started last year in San Francisco and they recently added West Los Angeles and the entire island of Manhattan. I live in Manhattan so was given a credit to try out the service (that is the disclosure!). They are working to bring Shopping Express to shoppers in Queens and Brooklyn in the coming months.
The first thing that excited me about the service was that I could shop from many different stores as listed above. I do not have a current membership to Costco, I switched to another big box store this year because I had a coupon, but I would use this new Google Shooping service just knowing I could have Costco delivered to my door. That alone will guide my decision to re-sign up! Also, if you click the above link, you will see that the West Coast delivery service includes a few more stores than what is available currently for Manhattan delivery.
I ordered from several different stores to check out how well the service would work. I put my order in for goods from Target, Walgreens, Staples and Fairway. Delivery was free, and will remain free for 6 months, that is a great selling point for me!
Prices were the same as in the store, and if anyone knows their prices it is me!
I got an emergency Lego for my son who just had a leg operation. I ordered some flavored coconut water for him as well, and I was thrilled with the assortment available for order, I had not been able to find that in store. I ordered a large variety of items from 4 different stores to best test this new home delivery service and was very happy with the results!
I was emailed when changes had to be made to my order, and I was emailed and credited when 1 item was unavailable. I appreciate the updates. I placed my order early Saturday evening and was able to choose the window of 9 am-1 pm for next day delivery. It’s not like I was in a rush to head to my mother-in-law’s so this worked well for me. The order arrived at 10 am.
I do have 1 issue. When I opened my order I noticed there were a number of items missing. I immediately went to the computer to check on this and saw that items form one store were not delivered. As I was doing this, the door bell rang and that bag was delivered. The computer was updated to show what had been delivered, I would have liked notice that the first delivery was a partial delivery. I am sure that can be changed as I share my feedback with my contact.
New subscribers to this service start with a $10 credit and free delivery for 6 months. I was very happy with my order and will continue to use this service. I like the idea of ink delivered to my door within 24 hours from Staples, staples from Fairway supermarket (I usually walk home with more than I can carry because I don’t want to pay for a cab as my local Fairway is 1 mile away), and almost anything I want from Target! I do not use the local delivery service for fresh foods, I like to shop for those in person, so this service for household items, toys, snacks, and almost everything else works well for me!
Disclosure: I received a credit to try out this new home delivery service . All opinions are always 100% honest and my own.

So, we TOTALLY need that in Boston next. What an awesome service, especially for scatterbrains like myself who always seem to forget about things until the very last minute!!

I like that you can shop in more than one place, and I appreciate updates too. This sounds really intriguing, and the free shipping is a great incentive.
I hope your son is recovering well and fast, and that he loved his emergency Lego. 😉

Wow! That is an amazing service. I hope your son is healed soon and that he enjoyed his toy! I am most intrigued by the fact you can buy items from a membership only store without a membership. That would make it worth it to me.

What an amazing service! I can totally see the value in it and like you I would probably use it for everything but fresh produce.
