SHINY COINS: After tossing coins to make wishes in a faraway wishing well, Fig and Maple find their way home in the dark by making giant clams laugh. FIG FINDS A SHADOW: Hedge’s fears of the dark are put to rest when he and Fig explore the Deep Dark Cave with a flashlight and discover that what they thought to be a scary giant isn’t a giant at all, but their own shadows.
Firstly I want to comment on the competition that has increased in new programming across all media. I am 55 and when I was growing up we had 3 TV stations, 2, 4,and 7. Now there are many more channels and much more competition, and not just from TV stations. This is wonderful for the viewers! Now we have multiple TV companies creating new shows, and we have companies like Hulu, Netflix, and Amazon creating new programming as well. The addition of high quality shows available is increasing all the time because of this expanded market and I love it!
And my son is only 11 years old, and already there seems to be more than twice the programming than was available when he was younger! Don’t you remember those tough nights when the kids are up late because of an ailment, for example, an earache, and us parents are scrambling for any show to keep them focused on something other than their pain? Cause there is no doctors office open for a visit at 2 am!
Now we have Amazon with brand new kids programming available to view anytime of the day or night. I would have loved if Tumble Leaf was available for my son when he was younger. When he was three for example, age appropriate shows ended at 6 p.m.!
What a great show for the kids! Great music, easy story, and a simple to follow along. I have already shared this info with my neighbor who has two young kids. I loved the colorful barnacles, the explanation of how a flashlight can be useful, and of course the friendly stick who seems to gurgle instead of talking! This episode seemed like the perfect relaxing show to see before the kids drift off to sleep!
So tune into Amazon Prime to see this great new series for the kids, and the other series soon to be available on Amazon!
Disclosure: I received an Amazon Fire TV along with the DVD of this series. All opinions are always 100% honest and my own.
