I was on the Jenny Craig dieting program a few months back, and intend on rejoining to prepare for my upcoming Blog Conference in California. These diets, which these days are called food plans, also try to offer a way to change your lifestyle so that this”dieting” is not temporary, but rather incorporated into the way you live and eat.

As such, a lot of water is  required to be imbibed. The first thing I remember about the orientation at the Jenny Craig meeting was that they said, do not worry about what you drink, just drink a lot. Of course they were not referring to full sugared sodas, this was in reference to tea, coffee, etc. That is why 2B Drinks Sparkling with only 1 point, 8 grams of sugar per 12 oz can and 30 calories per can help you stay enjoy something “slightly sweet” without the guilt, and fit in perfectly to my Jenny Craig plan!

My son and I love sparkling beverages so this new “HealthyBubbles” version of the 2B drink is a great addition to our pantry. With flavors like vanilla, chocolate and lemon ice, that are caffeine free and all natural, it is easy to let my son have one after school as a treat. Yes, this lightly sweet drik, even with its low sugar content, is considered a treat in my house because I generally only allow my son to drink water or milk, with just the occasional juice. Regular sugared soda, or chemically filled diet soda are not options when it comes to my son’s health, and at almost 11 years old, he understands why I have these rules (that does not mean he agrees!). It is helpful to me to have this in the house, you would not believe how easy it becomes to get my son to do homework when he is getting a treat! And yes, this bubbly drink is a great treat for him!

But wait! Imagine my surprise when these samples came and my son said he loves the 2B sparkling drinks! He had been taking his own money to school on Fridays (the one day a week I make him lunch) to buy a drink at school, then after his class concert I found this:

2B drinks are healthy enough to have been approved for sale in NYC Schools by the Department of Education and are available in over 2500 schools. They have been in my son’s school and he has been buying this with his own money and I didn’t even know!
