A new way to cook in your slow cooker!
I met these folks at an event a few weeks ago and said I would love to try their products, I am such a busy blogger that I do not have time to cook meals for my family half the time! They graciously consented to send me a sampling of their frozen Crock Pot Cuisine meals!
These meals are made using the highest quality, all natural and premium ingredients. I received the 3 pictured above and the Roasted Chicken & Mini Herbed Dumplings below which we have taste tested.
Yes, I am that busy parent, responsible for the meals, without enough hours to slave over a hot stove to prepare them. It seems funny that I would even have the nerve to type that, I am a SAHD, a stay at home dad, what else do I have to do?
I have a 10 1/2 year old son in 5th grade. He has a different activity every day of the week, sometimes 2 in one day. And I am the one bringing him back and forth. But it is Tuesdays that are especially difficult: after a little bit of playtime after school, we go to the Boys Club for drum lessons, and then we rush home for 1 hour of tutoring. I cannot cook while the tutor is here: we live in an apartment and they study at the dining room table. Tuesdays are the optimal slow cooker day for me, dinner is being prepared and I am nowhere to be found, it is perfect!
I set the crock pot up to cook the meal for 4 hours. That worked perfectly as I put it on as I left to pick up my son from school. This is not a 1 step process, I had to add the dumplings 1/2 hour before the end of the full process. That is not an issue for me, We are a family of big eaters so I planned on cooking some plain rice to add to the meal, it went perfectly with the creamy sauce. Dinner is the biggest meal of the day in my house so I tend to serve a super large meal.
I served the meal, definitely nervous about what my spouse would say. He is a very picky eater, and many of you know I am competing with my mother-in-law in trying to please him “food wise.” You know that is a contest that I will never win! Needless to say, he would never admit it, but I think he preferred this type of a meal to the ones I make from scratch. As long as he never says that out loud, we will be OK!
He loved it. And the biggest compliment he could give was to say that this particular dish tasted/reminded him of a chicken pot pie, one of his all time favorite meals. And most importantly the chicken was real chicken, not some patty formed substance, but white meat right off of the bone. Again, this is the type of thing that quickly sold my spouse on the quality of the meal.
Lastly, and most importantly, the ingredients on the box are what have me sold on this product: not one chemical or preservative. The one con I would add for your edification is that the meal does contain a lot of salt, 980 mg per serving. Since we are big eaters, adding the plain white rice helped to spread that salt out, and the good news was that it did prevent my spouse from adding salt, something he does with everything I serve.
Check out Crock Pot Cuisine for more information, and follow them on Facebook! And know that this is another blog review that my spouse enjoyed and will now cost him money because these are meals that I will be ordering when the samples we received are gone. That is the best review I could ever give, that I plan on spending my own money on the product!
(Did I mention that my adorable little son can’t wait to try the sausage and chicken pictured up top? Yes, he keeps telling me I can get up at 7 am and put the crock pot on the 12 hours setting. It is so helpful to have someone to put me on a schedule!)
Disclosure: I received a crock pot and the above 4 meals. This did not influence my writing in any way, all opinions are always 100% honest and our own.
Like you, I just do not have enough time during the day to cook up an entire meal. Especially on the days that both of my boys have karate. These would be a lifesaver and a major time saver for me. I will have to try these out!!
YUM! I am a huge crockpot fan and use it all the time. It helps so much to save time!
I think I”d like to try the Sesame Ginger Chicken first. It sounds fabulous. And I love my crock po. I’m home full time too (we are WAH silly, not SAH) and spend a lot of time doing activity transport after school- hard to cook late in day. Crock pot for the win!
Wow, I had NO IDEA that Crock Pot had their own line of meals! I use my big Crock Pot at least once a week, I need to check these out!
I’ve never heard of these meals before! They have definitely stepped up their game and made cooking a complete meal even easier!
I haven’t seen this yet but now I am going to look for them. I LOVE using my crockpot!
Bring on some slow cooking goodness – I absolutely love my crock pot – just made a full pot of apple sauce last night (I know, it is totally off season), but I still had apples left from when I bought them in October from the farmers and I had to use them fast
I’ve never heard of this product before. Love finding new things I would actually enjoy. I”ll be joining the work force pretty soon and Crock-Pot Cuisine could definitely be a life saver!
This is such a great idea for busy weeknights. I haven’t seen these yet in the stores, but it looks awesome.
I love my crockpot meals. It was the best wedding present that I didn’t ask for. 🙂
BTW, Good luck in your competition..I think her years of experience might beat you out. 🙂
I am in love! I work at an office full-time and blog, and my husband is always out of town for work. Needless to say, our dinners are somewhat sad (cereal anyone?) I love my crockpot, but there are only so many things I know how to make in it, and of course mornings are always a rush so sometimes I forget. I can’t wait to try these out – do you know what stores they are in?
Such a smart idea! Thanks for sharing this…will be keeping my eyes out for these. Love my crockpot!!
How convenient is this? I love using my crockpot. I’ll have to look for these meals.
This looks really easy and perfect for fast week night meals. I need to start using my crock pot more!
That would be so nice. I love cooking with the Crock Pot. And having a handy prepared meal with great ingredients is fabulous!!
Story of my life! My life stays busy! I work full time, blog full time, dealing with my children and their needs which makes less time to cook dinner. I really need to dust off my Crock Pot and start cooking with it again. Thanks for letting me know about Crock Pot Cuisine!
I love any meal that I can throw in the crockpot and forget about! I’ll have to try the lasagna!
Hi All
Thanks for all the enthusiastic responses for the new product that I’ve helped launch for Crock-Pot. As a gay dad-to-be (our due date is May 14th), I’m excited to be part of such a time saving solution that I can feel good about serving my family— I’ve worked closely with the USDA to make sure that we follow the new standards for All natural (it’s actually an ingredient deck that you can read and understand). You can reach out to me anytime with any comments. Mitch- we’re grateful to you!
Cheers,
Bryan Janeczko
I absolutely love meals that save me time! I use my crock pot A LOT because of this. I will have to check out these meals!
I’ve never seen those before. Talk about making a crock pot meal even EASIER!
These look delicious but I have never seen or heard of them. I’ll have to give them a look for the next time I head to the grocery store.
Could crock pot cooking get any easier? Now you don’t really have to shop – just pick up a few of these and you’re set for a week’s worth of meals!!
Holy crap are those expensive, though. I mean, not quite as expensive as eating out, but certainly not as inexpensive as cooking at home ought to be. Yikes.
This is really a time-saver! I admit, it is really difficult to cook a hearty meal in the morning especially when it comes to the morning rush. This is really frustrating for me as I recognize how important breakfast is. So I would say, this post will surely be of great help. 🙂
Crockpot is making meals?! I MUST try them! I love my crockpot, and I can only imagine those must taste yummy!
Dumplings! Lasagna! so many yummy things! I haven’t seen these yet but will keep an eye out for them.

I have been using the heck out of my crock pot lately! These meals sound super delicious and I like that they don’t have those bad for you ingredients in them! I will definitely be on the lookout for them at my grocers!
I did not know these existed! I LOVE cooking in my crock pot! So easy!
I’ll look for these. My husband would probably love that chicken pot pie flavor too, and I love that it’s a crock pot thing!! Great tip on the white rice that I’ll be sure to use when I’m serving this up to my crew.
I can honestly say I have never seen these before and OMG! Can you imagine crockpot meals getting even easier? I may never cook again.
Oh my gosh, I’ve never seen this! It’s really brilliant, I love cooking in my crock pot.
these meals look great. I have to use my crockpot once or twice a week so I will be keeping an eye out for these.
So I actually tested the Smart Pot about 2 years ago and helped name. Crazy world. lol But anyway, I didn’t realize they had frozen meals now! I’ll be trying a few of them. We use the crockpot about 4 times a week here.
I love to use my crock pot and I am going to have to go look for those crock pot meals! I haven’t seen them before!
It looks wonderful! And I love that everything comes with it so busy people don’t have to be organized enough to go our and have the chicken bought and defrosted etc. I think we would starve around here without my crock pot!
These seriously look amazing! I too stay at home, but still don’t have time to cook every day! I love, Love, LOVE my crockpot! It is truly my friend. I would be lost without it. They all look good, but I want to try that Sesame Ginger Chicken!
