It’s time to buy a baby monitor! The place to buy it is Target, and the brand to buy is Motorola!
“Keep a watchful eye on your baby with this Motorola MBP36 remote wireless video baby monitor. The Motorola 3.5″ video baby monitor features a color LCD screen, infrared night vision and sound indicator lights. The parent receiver on this digital baby monitor lets you zoom, pan and rotate the camera, so Baby will never be out of your sight. The full color 3.5” LCD display shows real-time video and sound in your baby’s room with up to 25 FPS video playback. Infrared night vision allows you to check in without turning on the light. The MBP36 allows you to remotely pan, tilt and zoom the video image as needed. 2.4GHz FHSS technology offers a reliable connection for better range and less chance of a dropped signal. The MBP36 video baby monitor features five lullabies built-in and is equipped with a room temperature sensor which is reported on the receiver’s LCD display.”
I fear if I had this when my son was an infant, I may never have slept. 10 years ago it was all about the sound only baby monitor, I can still remember waking up every time he coughed! I believe these video devices were just coming onto the market and they were not only very expensive, but they certainly did not work as well as today’s or have all the capabilities this monitor has.
If this device was available when my son was an infant I would probably spend a lot of time just watching him, waiting for him to roll over, and then still run in and check his breathing (sometimes I still do that and he is 10!).
I can’t believe how far technology has come, this device is wireless, had infrared night vision, and my favorite of course is the lullabies! I did run in and sing (off-key) to my son when he was little and soothe him, and have many sleepless nights for myself. This baby monitor would have helped me to sleep better!
Isn’t it beautiful? And there’s more!
Receive a FREE Dr. Brown’s 8oz Baby Bottle 3pk with Purchase of a Motorola 3.5″ Digital Video Baby Monitor. Offer available online only.
Dr. Brown’s was the baby bottle I used for my adopted at birth infant son. I knew nothing and I did no research other than call my sister-in-law who was due to give birth to her third child 2 months after our son was due. I figured whatever baby bottle she was using would work for us. That is why my son was given formula in Dr. Brown’s bottles! I have since met the Dr. Brown folks at a “Baby Shower” blog event and thanked them profusely, it was a product that worked for us!
That would clinch the deal for me, the same baby bottles I used for my son as a free gift for buying this baby monitor!

Talk about perfect timing–I need to buy one of these for a babyshower and was heading to Target anyway!!! thanks for the review

My son is 3 and we still use a baby monitor in case he gets sick overnight or has issues with his asthma.
This model has a ton of features our current model doesn’t!

My son is 4 and I can assure you that if I had one when he was an infant, I would have spent all my time watching time too! We only used a sound monitor if he was resting and we were on another floor.
Tammilee says
Wow, It is amazing how far technology has come. I love that it sings lullabies. No one needs to hear my singing voice so this is perfect.
LisaLisa says
That is an awesome baby monitor. My sister is due soon I’m going to check this out for her. So many awesome features.
Amber Edwards says
That is an awesome baby monitor! I wish I had something like that when my kids were babies! dang, that would have saved me so many time from waking them up when I was just trying to check on them!
Sofia says
I would have bought this monitor 5 years ago! It is amazing how fast technology changes. Makes me wonder what baby monitors will be like when my kids have their own kids.
Emily says
My sister wants a baby monitor with a video now that her baby is going on 9 months and she has a 3 year old too and they don’t always nap at the same time. This sounds like a great one!
Amethyst Moon says
It is so amazing the things that they have now for babies. Like you, if they had this when mine were little, I would have just laid there and watched them. It would probably be weird to do that now, huh? yeah, 21 and 19 is probably too old for monitoring. LOL!
Jennifer @TheRebelChick says
I have to tell you, I am way past the stage where I need a baby monitor….my daughter is 16! LOL! But this makes me jealous that it wasn’t available back when I had her. My baby monitor only provided sound, and only worked if I was in the next room. LOL
Kerri says
I didn’t have one when my girls were younger but it seems like such a necessary item for a new baby. I have two showers to go to in the new year. This might be the perfect group gift!
Henrietta says
What a beautiful monitor! I’m with Jennifer, I get so envious of all of these amazing products that are available to new parents these days! When my children were infants, I was paranoid and slept on the couch with them in the bassinet and my hand on them to be sure they were breathing! I was basically a zombie =)
Krystyn @ Really, Are You Serious? says
My sister has this Motorola monitor and loves it. I like that it pans and moves around…makes me a little jealous I don’t have one.
Jennifer Wagner says
I agree with you. If I had a baby monitor like this I would have spent all my time watching it. I can’t even imagine what baby monitors will be like by the time I become a grandmother.
Heather - Acting Balanced Mom says
My reviewer had the chance to check out one of the earlier models of Motorola video monitor and loves it! This really is a great deal!
Yum Yucky says
Sheesh. Baby monitors sure are fancy nowadays. My old-bitty-of-a-self had to use the old standard monitors with built-in static. Needed a Miracle Ear to decipher whether baby was crying or snoring. I dunno.
Casey @ Beauty 101 says
If I had kids this is definitely the monitor I’d consider buying. I’m way too neurotic to just trust that they’re doing okay without being able to see it for myself. Otherwise I might just camp out in their rooms forever, haha!
Felicia says
Video baby monitors definitely make a difference. I had one of each and I can say that I’m not sure what I would do without the video monitor. This one looks great!
Jaime says
I’m convinced that if we have a second child, we NEED a video monitor. Thanks for this review! We have a fairly great monitor now (my son is 2-years-old), but it’s sound only. I find myself walking in to check on him and occasionally wake him up. Oops.
Melissa says
Wow, that is an awesome deal! We actually have that monitor and love it!
Meghan @JaMonkey says
This monitor looks great. And this really is an awesome deal!
brett says
i just was thinking the same exact thing- how much things have changed technology wise since video baby monitors first came out. they were big, bulky and NOT clear!!
Ashley M says
We loved our monitor but unfortunately it didn’t have video, the one thing I really wanted. When I was pregnant they were not as nice, or as affordable!
James says
I love this product and its great features which makes it a worthwhile buy. Thanks for the review.
Mohammad Wasiullah says
This product is really good
Liz @ A Nut in a Nutshell says
It really does give peace of mind to be able to peek and see that they’re sleeping soundly. Also, you can peek and see what all the fussing is about!
katherine says
I never tried these bottles but they look great. I’ll keep them in mind if I have more kids
Kecia says
The screen size is really nice! I didn’t use a video monitor with our first son, but for the baby due next month, we did get one. I didn’t realize Motorola even made baby monitors!
Chrishelle says
I am with you. If I had one of these monitors when my kids were little I wouldn’t have slept either. It is amazing how far technology has come in such a short time. I did not know Motorola made baby monitors, sharing this with all my friends who are new moms.
Shell says
I would have loved to have a video baby monitor like this when my boys were babies. I had to deal with the noisy baby monitor instead.
