The Wolverine on DVD and Blu-ray is available December 3!

The Wolverine, directed by James Mangold, is this year’s most action-packed film. Inspired by the celebrated Marvel comic book arc and featuring Hugh Jackman, The Wolverine is the story of an immortal man, with animalistic capabilities and strength, who returns to face his ultimate nemesis in a life-or-death battle that takes him to modern-day Japan.

James Mangold has unleashed an incredibly creative film that shows The Wolverine in a struggle like you’ve never seen him before. To prepare you for the DVD and Blu-ray release on December 3rd of Mangold’s jaw dropping film, here is a list of the director’s most notable works:

1. Identity

The 2003 horror film tells the story of 10 strangers seeking shelter at a motel in the midst of a terrible storm. One by one each member of the group is killed, but the murderer is unknown. Not to spoil the ending, but this is definitely a mystery you will want to watch if you haven’t already.

2. Walk the Line

Mangold directed this incredible biography on the life of country music man Johnny Cash (Joaquin Phoenix). From his successes and failures, to the monumental love story of Johnny and June Carter (Reese Witherspoon) this film will have you begging for more.

3.Girl, Interrupted

Girl, Interrupted is based on the true story of the time Susanna Kaysen spent at a mental hospital in the 1960s. The film stars Winona Ryder as Susanna Kaysen and Angelina Jolie, who won an Academy Award and a Golden Globe for her role as a supporting actress.

4. Kate & Leopold

Starring Meg Ryan and Hugh Jackman, Kate & Leopold is the love story of a Duke from 1876 who falls in love with a 21st century business woman after traveling through time. Leopold, the Duke, is only in the 21st century temporarily, therefore Kate (Meg Ryan) must decide whether or not her love for Leopold is enough to live in 1876.

5. The Wolverine

And don’t forget this amazing action movie, The Wolverine! Hugh Jackman plays Logan, also known as The Wolverine. Logan is an immortal man/mutant who is trusted to protect Mariko, while also struggling to save his own immortality and fight off enemies.

Hugh Jackman will always hold a special place in my heart. You have read all my celebrity movie interviews, well, 2 years ago he was my first! He could not have been nicer and it was great that the first movie star meeting I had was with such a terrific man!
