Last year I lost my data twice because my virus protection stunk, and a virus got in and took over my software. I went to my local computer store and had everything restored, but it cost me $150 each time. Thankfully it only took me twice to realize it was time to change my computer protection, and I now am very satisfied with my current plan.
Of course, if I had backed up my files I could have saved some money with the restore of “almost lost” data. But I do not manually back-up my data.
This personal cloud, which is a fantastic tool, works great for me because while I do not have a lot of data to save, most of it is on my blog and saved there, but I do have thousands of pictures of my pride and joy, my wonderful son. I do not ever want to lose those, that is my #1 reason for this Cloud service. Additionally, to be able to access these pictures, or the other data on here, from anywhere, is an extra bonus. And it does matter if it is PC or MAC! Or, my tablet or phone! I clog up both of those devices with every picture I take, after awhile I need that space back! Now I can have these pictures from my work on the road easily accessible from any and all of my devices.
This is my new must have device. And it may become yours as well, especially if you belong to that paranoid sub set of folks that i have met, and there seem to be a lot of them, that actually have 2 back-up systems at all times.
It is great to not have to stare at the back up USB that I failed to put in to my computer after the first use. It is gone and I am protected automatically now!
Disclosure: I received this My Cloud for review. All opinions are 100% honest and our own.
