There is nothing more glamorous for this blogger than being at a movie premiere in Los Angeles, walking a red carpet, and sitting in the famous El Capitan Theatre! This was my second trip to LA for a movie premiere, and the first night of 2 opportunities to walk the red carpet. I am a regular NY guy who writes a blog, how did I ever get so lucky as to have these wonderful experiences!
My fellow bloggers and I lined up to get ready for our “walk.” There is not a lot of time to linger, so we made our way down the red carpet and all managed to get our photo with Vince!
Yes, it is GayNYCDad in a suit! Expect nothing less of me when going to a movie premiere. My fellow bloggers, all women, were all dressed up and gorgeous, it was an honor to be amongst them, and I had to do my best to dress well for them. And yes, the red carpet background was lined with posters from the movie. There will be more personal celebrity photos in future posts!
Now you see the front of the red carpet. That is where the paparazzi are doing all their picture taking and where all the interviewing occurs. You can occasionally see bloggers in the background walking by, so always be on the lookout.
Again, it was quite an honor to be able to walk the Red Carpet and attend the actual Delivery Man Premiere, yes, with all the stars in the movie sitting in the theatre as well.
I will be holding onto to this memorabilia for quite sometime! I must also share with you that this Premiere had an after party where we got to mingle with many folks who were in the theatre with us, and several of the stars! Again, I am a regular guy from NYC who has a blog, and look at the incredible experience I was able to have! I am grateful and humble to have been able to participate in this amazing experience. “Thrill of a lifetime” barely covers it!
I am busting to tell you more about the movie and I will, closer to the November 22 release date! In the meantime there will be several interview posts with the above stars (picture courtesy of Dreamworks Pictures) of the movie, I can’t wait to tell you all about those, they were so wonderful to chat with! For now, here’s a brief description of this heartwarming movie
DreamWorks Pictures’“Delivery Man” stars Vince Vaughn as affable underachiever David Wozniak, whose anonymous donations to a fertility clinic 20 years earlier resulted in 533 children. David must now embark on a journey that leads him to discover not only his true self but also the father that he could become. A DreamWorks Pictures and Reliance Entertainment presentation, the film is written for the screen and directed by Ken Scott, based on “Starbuck,” the original screenplay written by Ken Scott and Martin Petit, and also stars Chris Pratt and Cobie Smulders. “Delivery Man” is produced by André Rouleau and executive produced by Ray Angelic, Scott Mednick and Mark Sourian.

Wow, what a great experience there. I recently visited Hollywood for the very first time and I was amazed with all the history those streets hide. The museums, walk of fame, hotels, Rodeo Dr, Beverly Hills, everything makes you feel like a movie star. You rocked by being there and getting to enjoy all the fun. Thanks for sharing 🙂
