The next lunar eclipse is happening in 1 week on October 18th and as a Windows Ambassador I am sharing this information I just received to help you enjoy the experience even more!
The Night Sky enables you to identify the stars, planets, galaxies, constellations and even satellites you can see above. Just stand anywhere and hold your Windows 8 tablet device up to the sky and The Night Sky will display the names of the stars, planets and other objects above, even if your view is obscured by clouds or daylight! You can even use Night Sky on your Windows 8 desktop PC and see the sky above from the comfort of your desk!
With Explore the Moon, use the 3D model to explore the variety of features of the moon. Or use the astrological view of the solar system and constellations on Lunar Phases to see how the Earth and Moon align.
Download these Windows 8 apps from the Windows Store and browse for more Windows 8 apps online here.
I can’t wait to surprise my son with these new apps after I download them on my Lenovo Yoga laptop/tablet!
Disclosure: I am a #WindowsChampions Ambassador. All opinions are always 100% honest and my own.
I live out in the country, so it is dark and you can really see the stars. I’ll have to get out there with The Night Sky app and see what I can identify.
