Yes, my local Office Depot is just below the beautiful Times Square! It is always extra exciting to go shopping there with my son because it is a few blocks up from my sister’s office in the fashion district, and a few blocks from the fun he loves at Dave & Busters. We love to visit all three!
And isn’t everyone back to school already? Didn’t your kids start school weeks ago? Not us! Not if you live in New York State and other spots in the Northeast! We start on September 9th! I not only shop for supplies up till that date, but usually the week after as well to fill in because I always forget something, and/or want to give extra to butter up the teacher!
The first thing that caught my eye was this beauty, I never knew where to find these mats for the 3 years we needed it, from Pre-K to Kindergarten!
And I think you know my weakness already, anything with the “Deals” word in it!
I love the style here, and the chance for my son to get creative, he is like me, always storing things in bins, from his markers, to his #2 pencils, to his art supplies!
And I still can’t believe the list of items from this brand, colored pencils (already sharpened as they are clear to demand!), mixed sets of skinny and chubby colored markers, the list never ends!
Lastly my favorite, we use this area to collect our study guides for test prep, with reward stickers but I think Office Depot knows that!
And in the interests of helping everyone, from the Principal, to the teachers, to the parents, please:
Check to see if your school uses Office Depot’s School Supplies Checklist that provides 5% back to schools and allows parents and schools to earn free supplies to alleviate out-of-pocket expenses for teachers. Teachers can create a School Supplies Checklist with their corresponding school code so that shoppers who use their teacher’s list can help their schools get 5% back for free supplies. What a great help!
Office Depot provides a school supply checklist: http://www.officedepot.com/a/school-supplies-checklist/
And here’s some of my back to school bounty courtesy of Office Depot. I can’t believe it includes expensive ink, they actually started to let these kids use computers for writing and my son is costing me an arm and a leg because he loves to print his work. Lucky for him I am happy to support my budding writer and that occasional triple ink recycle bonus helps!
And another reminder: Families can sign up for Office Depot Rewards program and teachers can use the same sign up for the Star Teacher program: http://bit.ly/OD. I encourage everyone to sign up!
