IHOP®, known for providing guests with everything they love about breakfast, has just introduced new menu items guests are sure to love: Griddle Melts.
“Our culinary team has created three delicious varieties of Griddle Melts, each using the finest ingredients, and in a hearty size that requires both hands—even for the half sandwich.”
IHOP’s menu now includes three varieties of Griddle Melt sandwiches, each hand-crafted and made-to-order for each guest, served on artisan sourdough bread with a choice of three fluffy omelets in a large breakfast sandwich, making each sandwich an excellent value for consumers. Half sandwich servings are also being featured on the menu.
“Breakfast sandwiches are the largest selling breakfast items out of the home, with more than 55 billion servings consumed each year. Our new Griddle Melts bring our guests a breakfast sandwich that lives up to our high standards of excellence and value and they can only be found at IHOP,” said Natalia Franco, Senior Vice President, Marketing, International House of Pancakes, LLC. “Our culinary team has created three delicious varieties of Griddle Melts, each using the finest ingredients, and in a hearty size that requires both hands—even for the half sandwich.
“While others may offer guests breakfast sandwiches that are pre-made in advance, every single Griddle Melt sandwich is custom made for each guest,” Franco continued. “Bursting with flavor, Griddle Melts are a meal in themselves, a hearty breakfast sandwich that our guests will want to sit down and savor. And at $4.99 for a half sandwich it’s a great value and I encourage guests to try all three before choosing their favorite!”
Griddle Melt varieties include:

An IHOP opened down the block from me a few months ago. I had never seen one in Manhattan before, we usually go to the one in Rockland County when we spend the morning clothes shopping before visiting my parents.
There are 3 griddle melt choices, my son and I choose the one without peppers, I like my breakfasts a little more plain. Like a hot breakfast panini, except not as thin (and neither are we!), this was delicious! M son and I inhaled our sandwiches, and that’s my only con re this review – we could have eaten 2 each of these griddle melts, they slid down very easily! Ham, egg, and deliciously melted cheese, can you just taste it? Here in NYC they were $7.99 and included hash browns ( or french fries or fruit). That was quite reasonable.
And yes, kids eat free at dinner time! For the sake of full disclosure, with my 5 foot tall 9 year old, that means we get the extra kids meal as an appetizer! He orders like an adult!
Lastly, my breakfast receipt had a short survey link attached to it. For my feedback IHOP gave me a coupon for one free short stack of buttermilk pancakes! Again, that will make a great side dish when we go back for our next griddle melt!

I tried those last week and was pretty peeved with our IHOP. They threw mine in regular white toast but it still tasted good. They even screwed up my banana caramel pancakes.

The ham & egg melt is always on the menu, but it’s totally worth featuring it as a special. They have new bread for it, though, and I almost had too much to eat when I ordered one this week! So tasty.

looks decent but, hate to say it, I still think Denny’s Moons Over Mihammy will taste better.
I’ll stick to what IHOP does best, it’s in the name, PANCAKES.
