This past week I was treated to a luncheon to hear about HomeAdvisor, the former Service Magic company. The above Amy Matthews was part of the conversation!
I was impressed. I felt confidence in the service offered. And, more importantly, I hope to need this service some day! Why? If you own property, if you are your own landlord, where do you go when you need a service, who do you trust most of all?
I am hoping we can buy our apartment in the next 2 years. Once I do, all repairs become my own responsibility. I am the type of person who trusts no one, let alone a repair person that you call from the yellow pages. HomeAdvisor offers a service where the repair people are thoroughly vetted, and the prices are checked depending on where you live. My fear is of being robbed blind by a repair person who knows I am desperate and will pay whatever they ask because I am at their mercy. I would be thrilled to be able to use HomeAdvisor, a company with a great reputation, one who’s recommendation I would trust to provide me with a list of trusted service people, who’s price would be fair, because it has already been checked in the marketplace in my area, or yours.
But, don’t believe me. Check out the site below for yourself! The reviews on file will put your mind at ease for the myriad of services offered!
