Receiving an invite to preview and review Disney’s latest movie offerings has to be one of the hottest tickets in the blog world. And the next event is in Los Angeles!
Imagine my surprise when my invite came! And here I was already excited by just having been put on the NYC list to preview Disney movies in my hometown!
I am super excited about attending a press day at Walt Disney Animation Studios for WRECK-IT RALPH and the animated short PAPERMAN (both opening in theatres on 11/2). My son and I first saw the commercial for Wreck it Ralph after the last movie we saw in the theatre and we knew it would be a must see. After all, we are big video gamers, so the premise of this movie is perfect for us. And, since I will be speaking with filmmakers and animators about WRECK-IT RALPH and the animated short PAPERMAN, I would love it if you would leave me a comment and suggest some questions I should ask!
Following the press day I will see a sneak peak of Disney/Pixar’s MONSTERS, INC. 3D on the Walt Disney Studios lot. We wore out our original DVD copy of Monsters, Inc. and I can’t wait to see what Disney has in store for us with the 3D version! And if I get any secret info on Monsters, University (2013 release), I promise to share it here, but you have to promise to keep it between us!
Another day we will interview cast members from FRANKENWEENIE followed by attending the Red Carpet Premiere at the El Capitan Theatre in Hollywood! Can you guess how many cameras I am bringing? Have you seen my Facebook photos? You can just imagine how many paparazzi shots with the Disney stars I am going to try to take! This is especially poignant as well because this was a book I read with my son when he was younger. Again, he has seen previews and it behooves me not to remind him of this trip, he wants to sneak into my luggage!
I’ll be blogging from LA the last week of September and you can follow the excitement on Twitter with hashtag #DisneyMoviesEvent starting now, through the end of September, as the excitement continues to build for this event!
Join the conversation, follow Wreck-It-Ralph and Frankenweenie on Facebook!
Disclosure: Disney is providing this all expense paid trip for me to get an inside look at these new movies. All opinions will always be my own and honest. No other compensation is being received.
LUCKY! I can’t wait to hear about it!

I can’t wait for this event. Looking forward to meeting you, we are going to have so much fun.
I think my boys will love this movie!!!!
I can’t wait either. Looking forward to meeting you.
I am jealous. I can’t wait to be able to attend big movie events some day. My family lives in southern California.
My 6 year old son would like to know if you can actually say Frankenweenie with a straight face. I just want the contact to get on that NYC Disney screening list 😉
Hope you have a great time. I’m looking forward to hearing all about it, and Monsters Inc.
Enjoy it, Mitch!
WOW, so very cool!! You may know, I am living in L.A. now! I LOVE it here:) Hopefully we can meet up down by the El Capitan while you are here!! I’ll email you!! Would love to meet you!
