Frankenweenie, directed by Tim Burton, is a remake of his own 1984 short film of the same name. The Frankenstein references abound, as this is an homage and a parody at the same time, of that classic movie and book.
I scouted out the area for the Premiere of Frankenweenie during my morning coffee run in LA, as the excitement mounted for what was to come!

The excitement in the theatre was palpable!
The El Capitan is a very “classic” movie theatre and as we walked in there was a pianist playing on stage. Very old school! It was also very exciting to be in the same theatre as Tim Burton, the director of the film, and all the stars of the movie! It is also notable that this is the first black and white feature (hence the “white” instead of red carpet!) and first stop motion film to be released in IMAX 3D!
The blog crew were invited to continue in the merriment by joining the cast at the after party. OMG, a Hollywood movie cast party. You know I had 3 cameras on hand, but I remained ever the professional! The below picture of Tim Burton and Winona Ryder is courtesy of Getty Images.
I did meet iconic Elvira at the after party, she was extremely gracious, and absolutely gorgeous!
