It is pretty incredible what is going on with Samsung and the home appliance market. As I sat in on their conference on Wednesday, what hit me immediately, was that the items we grew up with seeing on the Jetsons TV show, home of the future, are the items that are being developed now
My dream fridge. The largest French Door refrigerator in its class.32 cubic feet capacity can store up to 32 bags of groceries. I dream of this, I am a boarder line hoarder, I would have this thing filled up in no time.
Other fridges have wifi enabled screens with apps to make our lives easier. Log in your groceries, with expiration date, and you will be notified when this is expired on the Grocery Manager App. There is also a weather app, Google calendar, AP news, Epicurious and Pandora apps. Wow, the future is here. Soon we will be tweeting and Facebooking our kitchen lives!
This oven can be cut in half by a “smart divider” to cook on 2 different temperatures. The controls on the top can be set to cook 2 different meals at the same time. This would work for me in my house of finicky eaters who think I have nothing else to do but cook each meal to order. This Flex Duo oven is the other item on my wish list for my new house!
And it keeps getting better, Samsung has a washer dryer that can be controlled by your smart phone:
Control and Monitor the Dryer from your Smartphone with Smart Control
A Faster, Easier Way to Control Dryer Functions using an 8″ Touch Screen LCD
Helps Freshen Clothes and Remove Wrinkles with Steam Dry
Convenient, Instant Troubleshooting for your Dryer with Smart Care
OMG. I live in an apartment building and do my laundry in the basement. I would rather have a Samsung washer/dryer in my suburban home and perhaps be in the bedroom and monitor/adjust the temperature, time etc., on my machines in the basement. Soon there will be a laundry app that will fold our clothes!
There are many other great products, amazing cooking ranges, but my favorite, one that I can use in my humble NYC apartment: the Over the Range Speed Oven. More than a microwave. Far more. You can use this for convection cooking and as a toaster oven, broiler, and microwave. Wow. I am saving up for that one!

Disclosure: I received no compensation for this post. But I did wait for her to come back from taping The View, our hostess for the day, Patricia Heaton!
And yes, I told her all about my real mother-in-law who seems to be copying Patricia Heaton’s fake mother-in-law from Everybody Loves Raymond!

It was good to know about that. But I would just like to mention, as I was browsing some sites, I found out that there are sites that were very upright in giving tips or advice in making some recipes. Some of them are The Salad site, Wikichicken, Gourmetrecipe and Gourmandia.
