Actress Amanda Peet has been busy joining forces with the United Nations Foundation to launch a vaccination awareness announcement. The U.S. Shot@Life ad campaign is designed to help raise funds to provide vaccinations to children in developing countries. I had the privilege of attending the launch of the PSA to highlight these efforts with Ms. Peet.
As I went through the process of vaccinations with my son, I became concerned that he was receiving vaccines for diseases that I was never vaccinated against, and did he really need all of them? How incredible that we have this type of discussion in America when so many children in underdeveloped countries die from diseases that we have the cure for. Vaccines readily available in our country are unavailable to too many children in many parts of the world.

Amanda Peet seems so sweet. . .I was so sad for her that her new show Bent got such a bum deal from NBC. I am glad to see that she has other interests and this seems like such an amazing cause to be involved with.
