Award winning journalist, New York Times best selling author and mother of seven, Joan Lunden is about to add one more title to her name as she heads to QVC to launch pieces from her first eco friendly cookware line. Created in partnership with The Cookware Company, the former Good Morning America anchor is scheduled to introduce pieces from Twiztt by Joan Lunden collection on March 14th at 9 PM (ET) during QVC’s In the Kitchen with David show (you can see David and I below!). Twiztt by Joan Lunden cookware is coated with Corona™, an innovative mineral ceramic non stick coating that is completely free of plastic synthetics and harmful PTFEs and PFOAs (see below for a full explanation of those terms and why they are important).
I reviewed similar items in the past and I absolutely love cooking with ceramic non stick pots and pans. The clean up is amazingly easy and the fact that there are no questionable chemicals like the ones found on the other non stick pans we all have in our homes, is an added huge bonus. That’s why I am listing the Joan Lunden QVC offerings below, ceramic is the only type of non stick cookware I use.
Pieces from the Twiztt by Joan Lunden line include:
Twizt by Joan Lunden 11 Inch Square Nonstick Grill Pan
QVC Item # K36477
$40.00
Twizt by Joan Lunden Two Piece Nonstick Frypan Set
QVC Item # K36476
$40.00
Includes an Eight Inch Open Fry Pan and 10-Inch Toss and Turn Pan
Twizt by Joan Lunden 10 Inch Curved Skillet with Bowl and Cutting Board
QVC Item # K36478
$60.00
Pieces from the Twiztt by Joan Lunden collection will be available through QVC starting March 14th at QVC.com or 1-800-345-1515.

NOTES (taken from Beka):
PFOA is a chemical that is used in the manufacturing process of traditional non-stick coatings. It is not present in finished cookware, so there is never a health risk for consumers, but during the manufacturing process the chemical can damage the environment and the health of the factory workers. For the production of the new ceramic coating no PFOA’s are necessary.
Ceramic coatings are water-based and do not contain PTFE-chemicals. It is sometimes said that if you would accidentally overheat a traditional non-stick coating, the PTFE-chemicals inside could be released into the air. The ceramic coating can resist much higher temperatures than a traditional coating, so there is less chance of overheating and damaging the coating. The ceramic coating is very hard and has a contemporary glossy look.
I’m so glad you posted about this line of cookware, otherwise I don’t know if I would have discovered this. I always worry about those non-stick pans, especially when one starts to break down a bit. This looks like a good investment for our health.

Joan has been out of the spotlight for a while so nice to see her back in. BTW, here’s my connection with her – I briefly dated her nephew (from her now ex-husband’s side). We met in college and he was a nice guy, but I didn’t feel the spark.
Nice!!, Really nice pans, you can very easily notice the quality of the 2 set skillets.
Really looking forward to using them tonight for the first time.
I would love to try these out!
This is an absolute joke. First of all these pans are made in china and they are junk. I can’t believe Joan Lunden’s career has come to representing cheap false claiming chinese junk.
These pans are made with greenpan’s thermolon coating. It has been proven in tests that there is silicon in the nonstick formula as the primary binding agent. PTFE and PFOA is a walk in the park compared to what happens when silica is over heated. CANCER.
Not only is this not safe…it is made in a chinese factory and you can only imagine how bad they are for the environment considering they do not have western factory standards. CHina does what it wants. I wonder if Joan new this if she would still endorse the product?
i want this..wow!
I will go over to the QVC site to check this cookware out. I’m a regular customer there anyway, and these pots really do seem to be ecologically advanced.

I miss Joan Lunden being regularly on television-maybe she could host a new talk show, like for OWN or Lifetme.
I really appreciate you sharing the highlights of these pans. I’m so OVER the flaky, non-stick crap that we’ve been using for so long.
cool…i need a big pot like that one…ill check it out thanks!
glad to see her still staying busy..
I’ll have to check these babies out! I’m in the market for eco-friendly cookware, but I was afraid I wouldn’t be able to afford it. C’mon easy pay!
