Tuesday I attended an event at the Hershey’s Chocolate Store in Times Square to celebrate the 35th year of the Hershey’s Track & Field games, the largest youth activity program of its kind in North America!
The event was hosted by Olympic legend Carl Lewis, one of only 2 athletes to ever win 9 gold medals in the Olympics. He talked about how exercise and athletics were always fun for him as his parents never made it feel like a chore, but rather as a fun way to spend their time. Look where that got him! This highlights the purpose of the Hershey’s Track and Field Games, encouraging kids ages 9-14 to live a balanced and active lifestyle in a fun way! After all, I know I never associate anything Hershey’s with anything but something positive!
To celebrate this momentous occasion, families can visit HersheysTrackandField to download a free RUN, JUMP, THROW Birthday Party kit.
Disclosure: I received no compensation for this event, but I did get my paparazzi picture with Mr. Lewis!
