Would you be surprised if I told you that at several points in my overweight years I have been on the Atkins Diet? My spouse and I have both enjoyed bouts of several weeks of just meat eating, protein indulgent, weight loss attempts. Hamburgers with bacon and American cheese, sans the bread, was our favorite!
My recent visit to the Atkins unveiling of their newest cookbook did open my eyes to why this diet never fully worked for me. Basically, you have to gradually add other food groups into your diet! We never followed along correctly and always put back the weight. I think we all realize now that dieting is not the answer, changing your food lifestyle is the way to long term success.
All information is available on their website, and it is quickly coming time for me to change my eating lifestyle again, after all, I can’t keep blaming my bad eating habits on my son and my spouse!
