M&M’s are “colorful button-shaped candies” produced by Mars, Incorporated. The candy shells, each of which has the letter “m” printed in lower case on one side, surround a variety of fillings, which have included milk chocolate, dark chocolate, crisped rice, mint chocolate, peanuts, almonds, orange chocolate, coconut, pretzel, wild cherry, and peanut butter. M&M’s originated in the United States in 1941, and are now sold in over 100 countries. They are produced in different colors, some of which have changed over the years.
I had the pleasure to attend an event to learn more about one of my favorite candies, M & M’s!
I have been a life long fan and am also fresh off of a visit to the Chocolate Show where I met some of the staff of the Mars Company (they make M & M’s and many other great candies!) , one of whom showed me where the chocolate we eat comes from:
It was great to learn about the chocolate making process and the certification standards that Mars is working on. And in case you didn’t realize as I did not, in addition to being able to buy custom M & M’s with sayings on them, you can also have them printed with faces on them, what a great giveaway at your kids next party! Look for some exciting new items in the coming year, I have to go and eat the bag of M & M’s they let me fill up!
For all your M & M’s needs, check out their website here.
You can also follow them on Facebook and Twitter!
Disclosure: I received a gift bag for attending the event. All opinions are 100% my own and honest
