For ages 4-8, this sounds like a super interesting series. I am hoping to get it for my son, he seems to read better when the subject piques his interest.
This fall, beloved children’s author William Joyce will introduce you to the first and founding member of the Guardians of Childhood, a dedicated group of heroes who have sworn to protect the dreams of children everywhere. This first installment tells the tale of the Man in the Moon.
MiM, as he is known to most, was born into a Golden Age. But this time of peace ended with a great battle between his dear friend Nightlight and Pitch, the King of Nightmares. This battle left MiM alone, floating above planet Earth, where he could see its children and hear their hopes and wishes. He saw that in their darkest times, most children just needed a present, a treat or a good story. So he assembled a team of Guardians who vowed to make the world a bit brighter for all of Earth’s little ones. You know these protectors today as Santa Claus, the Easter Bunny, and the Tooth Fairy, among others. But each one has a story to tell, just like the Man in the Moon. Begin the adventure with MiM. Next time you look up at the night sky, you might just see him looking back…
