We received this vacuum to review. I have a large vacuum that is for what I consider the “big” job of cleaning the entire house. I don’t take it out of the closet unless I am prepared for it mentally, which also means having enough time to cover the entire surface area of the apartment.

I don’t consider this Electrolux as the same kind of cumbersome experience., i.e., no mental prep needed! I leave this vacuum charging in my bedroom so it can be picked up quickly to vacuum whatever area in the house needs a touch up. For example after my spouse comes home from work, the entire hall way is dirty. I am not a clean freak and will not clean up after him every day. Well guess who just started getting an allowance and wants to help around the house? My son has started to come into the room, take the vacuum, and spot clean. He has used this vacuum more than me and it is certainly the best $1 a week I have ever spent!

And it has a detachable hand vac. The one I currently have is in the kitchen behind all my pots and pans. I don’t think of it as accessible and because it is also on a charging pad in the kitchen it is covered in grease. I don’t like to use it and I need to because, I won’t say who occasionally (or daily) eats a meal in the living room in front of the TV, but the couch and floor area in front of the couch gets crumby. (Do you have certain people in your family who don’t seem to be able to aim for their mouths 100% of the time?) The detachable hand vac is perfect for this type of small spot cleaning, and I can have my wonderful assistant do a quick clean-up. I am very happy with this vacuum.

And this is an Electrolux vacuum. I asked for it for review because my family has a history with this company. My grandmother, before she passed away, made my mom promise to take her Electrolux and not get rid of it. My grandma had it about 10 years at the time. And that was 10 years ago. My mom still has it and uses it. And as I had my son do the math, that is a 20 year old Electrolux vacuum still working well. I promise to take a picture of it the next time I visit my parents!

For a high quality, long lasting product, look no further. I know I sound like an ad for the product, because in this case I asked to review the item due to the company’s reputation having seen it in use in my own family for years. It works great in my large apartment and anything that makes it easier for this house full of lazy folk to keep our home clean, is welcomed!
