I was offered the opportunity to host a party for HexBugs. I immediately applied as this is a toy that my son and I both love.
We received 2 glows in the Dark Nano Habitat Sets and 1 Hexbug Nano Elevation Habitat Set, 12 Limited Edition Halloween Zombie Hexbugs and several Glow in the Dark Nano Galileo bugs.
We set the boys up with the sets to see what they would come up with!
I always like to show my audience that I put my money where my mouth is. The middle section of light colored tracks is from my own collection that I purchased. Did I mention I love this toy?
I loved how the boys came up with the middle section as the human area surrounded by the Zombies as I have been watching Zombie movies all week!
I offer my 2 amatueristic videos as a way of showing how much fun my son and his fellow 3rd graders had:
The boys had a great time and love this toy. They all got to take home some bugs and that made them even more happy. I suspect several of the parents from my class are going to be miffed with me as their kids are going to be asking for some HexBug building sets of their own (that I will not share!).
This is a great toy for my son’s age group. We aged out of out our Thomas the Train tracks but still want to build something and HexBugs is the perfect toy. The added dimension of motorized bugs makes for a great hook for the kids as well. This is another item for my Holiday Guide!

Looks like this grandma has to make a Hexbug trip to Radio Shack! FYI – watch for a Black Friday Hexbug special at Radio Shack – last year’s was great & I’m keeping my fingers crossed they have another deal this year.
