Our birth mother gave us a hand me down baby carrier 8 year ago and we never felt comfortable using it as it seemed like a cheap knockoff. We quickly went out and bought the Babybjorn because that was the standard and any new parent does not want to take any risks with their newborn. For full disclosure, as a 44 year old new dad 8 years ago, I was always nervous that I would not be steady enough on my feet and did not use the carrier. My spouse on the other hand was not as nervous a new parent as I was and was the designated carrier when we didn’t use the stroller. Meanwhile, I have not fallen yet, but I am still over protective!

It’s been a long time, but I loved my Baby Bjorn. I had no idea they had been around so long.
