We ended the school week with a Green Lantern party courtesy of BSM Media. They wanted some boys to test out the Mattel toys being introduced with the Green Lantern movie and we were happy to oblige. I did cheat and end with a birthday cake for my son as he turns 8 at the end of the month!
There were some action figures for the boys to enjoy and then take home with them. I go to a lot of blog events with goodie bags, I must say I thoroughly enjoy throwing my own blog event and giving a gift bag that will be the talk of the town! There was a great, large comic book pictured above that the boys also got to take home.
The Colossal Cannon was the biggest hit of the party. I have said before, this is a different type of gun than I have ever seen on the market and the kids love it. There is some small disc ammo, nothing for anyone to hurt each other with, that the boys were shooting everywhere. We are still finding these Green Lantern discs all over the house! The cannon has a light up mid section which you also put your hand in to hold up the cannon. It is indeed colossal and I was fortunate to have several so there was no fighting to get hold of the cannon. We could tell which kid does not have guns at home, he sat with the cannon in his hand for 1/2 an hour.! This is a fun one.
In the midst of the battle we put on a Green Lantern cartoon that was sent in the party package. It was much needed to calm down the boys who, while they were enjoying the battle, did need to slow it down at some point, the Green Lantern cartoon movie was perfect.
And what’s the point if you can’t have your own light up Green Lantern ring?
Disclosure: I received a party package from BSM Media courtesy of Mattel for the boys to play with and review. All opinions are 100% our own.

Your son looks like a lucky little boy to get this kind of party thrown for him!

That looks like so much fun for the kids. My boys are older now, but they would have loved a green lantern party at that age!
