I had the pleasure for the third time in a year of making sandwiches with renowned chef, Bobby Flay and Hellmann’s Mayonnaise!
First, as you can see above, there are some delicious new flavors. The Canola Cholesterol free was very good and the Olive Oil Mayonnaise was delicious! And I was surprised to find out they use cage free eggs in their mayonnaise production as much as they can, depending on the availability of such eggs. Awesome!
We watched Bobby (of course by now we are on a first name basis) make 3 different sandwiches. What was fun about that is the waiters brought the samples to us as we watched! Yum. But the real fun was to come as we made our own sandwiches.
Hellmann’s Mayonnaise is what we use in my house. I am a simple man with a simple family, we spread Hellmann’s on both sides of the bread, then add thin sliced boiled ham, American cheese, and then sliced turkey breast. This is our house favorite. My spouse has it for weekend breakfasts (he claims he needs to start the morning with a lot of protein), and my son lets me make his school lunch on Fridays, with the same combo. So this is what I made for Bobby Flay. Plain, simple, delicious.
Here is what I had to work with:
You can also think about building your own perfect sandwich by going to the “Build Your Perfect Sandwich” campaign on Facebook. Go to Facebook/Hellmanns and you will see the sandwich tab where you can also enter a contest to win $5,000!
My paparazzi pic, Bobby Flay, hard at work making us lunch!
I went straight from the event to my brothers house to celebrate Passover.
Imagine my surprise when I told my chef/sister–in-law where I had just been, when she showed me that nights appetizer for Passover, matzoh covered chicken lollipops with Apricot Dipping Sauce made with Hellmann’s Mayonnaise!
Here’s her recipe:
- SAUCE:
- 3/4 cup apricot preserves
- 3 tablespoons Hellmann’s mayonnaise
- 1 1/2 tablespoons Dijon mustard
- 1 tablespoon rice vinegar
And the last thing I have for you guys is a coupon!
Go to Target.Com, scroll down and look for the coupon link on the left hand side of the page.
Click there and then click on “Grocery” until you find the Hellmann’s Mayo coupon!
Disclosure: I received no monetary compensation for this post. I did receive a beautiful picnic basket and ate a lot of sandwiches for attending the event. As always, all opinion are 100% my own. I was also entered for a chance to win a Hellmann’sĀ® prize package in exchange for this post.
