I have been a loyal Dell computer desktop user for the entire time I have owned computers. As someone who is completely un-tech savvy, I thought you just call the computer company and try to negotiate the best deal possible.
I called Dell and worked out all the specs for my new computer. The I saw a computer on sale at Staples. My dad had said he purchased his computer from a similar store (he has more available in suburbia in regards to store choices). I never considered going to a store to buy a computer but when I compared the packages I found the Staples deal to be far superior.
And it was an HP. I had tried to ask the tech savvy bloggers that I know, what they recommended and I got conflicting responses, of course. Since I have an HP laptop, I thought I could trust them for a desktop. And the difference in hard drive and memory and ram (whatever any of that stuff means!) was 50-100% more in the HP on sale! I even called HP direct and their package was not as good as Staples.
So there you have it. This 5 year old computer that I am now typing on will go to my son. I will have a much faster computer so I can blog more quickly! Ha. And I don’t work for Staples, I just wanted to share, that after doing quite a bit of footwork, over the course of a week, I had some surprising results. Dell did not have the value vs HP. And Staples sale was better than the home price from HP directly. And hopefully when this all comes in next week it will work!
Now I better try to make some money from blogging to pay for this new contraption!
Staples really does have some great deals! I was very close to purchasing my current computer there, but ended up getting it else where with price match and 10% additional discount. But, both my mom and brother purchased their computer at Staples.
It is so funny because it doesn’t even dawn on me to order a computer when there are so many places and great deals out there to just simply stop in and bring it home with me!
A new computer feels oh so good! Love Staples.
glad you finally pulled the trigger.
