The event started around the ice skating rink at Rockefeller Center. There was food everywhere and a silent auction as part of the fund raising evening. New York’s own, Mike Woods, the Channel 5 weatherman, was on hand to MC the event. He did a great job. As it was a school night we did not have a chance to skate ourselves, but we will be ready next year!
There were introductions and awards to thank everyone from the corporate sponsors, RNC Capital Markets, Zurich Financial Services, and all of the New York Rangers in attendance. There were picture and autograph opportunities afterwards that was a great draw to bring in the crowd to help with the on-site fundraising activities, as I mentioned a silent auction, and also a live auction for valued sports memorabilia & Rangers experiences. The event raised a lot of money to help this great charity and I am proud to be able to share it with you, my readers, and hopefully the word will keep spreading to help!
And as always, my paparazzi pics!
Firstly, studly weatherman Mike woods, and you guess the second one!
