It starts slow and then takes off like a rocket ship!
Every year, one of the PTA fundraisers is a Sports Night at the middle school across the street. It has a bigger gymnasium. Kindergarten through 2nd grade (us) get to go 1 hour before the upper grades. Thank goodness, because it is so much more manageable to start these events when there is no crowd.
My son designed one of the posters for one of the activities:
He also had a blast playing all the games and activities!

I think this is the type of thing DH fantasized about when he thought about having kids (not the baby/toddler age where he’d be changing diapers, cleaning spitup, etc.) I tell him all that time, don’t worry, we’ll be there soon enough.
