There was a Sony PlayStation holiday event this month to talk about their new and upcoming titles. This interactive showcase featured the hottest PlayStation gifts plus an exclusive first look at the most anticipated titles of 2011! I do love exclusivity! We thank Suzanne of Mom Confessional for letting us fill in for her.
As always, I bring my video reviewer whenever I am able. He is also my son. He is the market for all things video, I am just the hapless wallet for him.
We did both enjoy the Marvel entries, they are a lot of fun. For my son, anything with battles is perfect. And especially when it is a battle with his dad that he can win, and win he did (but not every round!)
In the middle picture yo can see him playing with the new Sony “Move.” The Sony Move is PlayStation’s entry into the motion controller market. I find it more advanced than the Nintendo Wii, as it allows for precise control and interaction. More and more games are coming out for this device so keep a look out.
The third picture was my son enjoying the video games. As it is December, I thought this picture reminded me of Hanukkah!
One of the reasons my son enjoys these video events is that he gets to play games that are too mature for our house. He knows about them from every sign in the Gamestop window, and every game at his older cousin’s houses. Motorstorm Apocalypse was one we could not pull him away from. I was just excited as we were hanging out with the game creator and were told we were helping him sort through some bugs in the system, after all the game is not due out until Spring, 2011.
“Based on San Francisco’s skyline, the “track“ consisted of a series of barely interconnected skyscraper rooftops–the race actually takes place hundreds of feet above ground. As Southern raced his bike through office buildings and atop roofs, towering structures crumbled all around him, altering his path and dynamically changing the course mid-race. Additionally, crazy-real physics effects saw windows shatter, office furniture splinter, and building infrastructures buckle in his wake.” My son loved this!
