About 1 1/2 weeks ago one of the vendors I deal with asked for my address as his client wanted to send me something for the holidays. How nice I thought, some last minute swag. Not that I was expecting anything at this year end, I am only 1 years old as a blogger and don’t know year end protocol. But if the nature of our relationship is a certain way, there will be some expectation when you ask for my address.
Anyway, today I received 1 holiday card and 1 little box. The card was from a company that I worked with this year with a giveaway. Again, I did not know anyone sends cards with nice greetings to people at my level, it was a very nice gesture .
The box on the other hand was a nightmare. I opened it up and it was full of tiny pieces of styrofoam “snow.” There was a preprinted card inside from the store that I work with. As you can see from the pics above, this was perhaps the single most annoying thing that could happen in a busy bloggers day. I was rushing to an event, celebs awaiting (you’ll see soon enough!), and I had to vacuum? I decided instead that if a company was so stupid as to send me a box of garbage, I would spend the time giving them a piece of my mind and asking them to never contact me again. Bad enough they won’t put their full coupon policy in writing, but this was the final straw.
Don’t send anything. Or send a simple card. Don’t think you are being nice by sending me clean-up work.

What the heck? What was the point of sending that to you? I’d be mad too – that stuff is not easy to clean up!
Gah! I hate that. Styrofoam peanuts annoys the ever-lovin’ heck out of me. Let alone little pieces.
