I am using Thanksgiving this year as a day to reflect and share gratitude.
I am grateful to be alive, to have my health, and to have my family.
I am grateful to have a place to live, a spouse who supports us, and friends that genuinely care about me as I do about them.
I am grateful to live in the greatest country in the world. I am grateful for our troops, overseas and at home.
I am grateful for the freedoms this country affords me. I am grateful that the times had changed enough that someone who grew up “different” as I felt I was, could still become a parent.
I am grateful I got the gift of becoming a father 7 1/2 years ago. I am grateful for my son, he teaches me things every day (and vice verse, or at least I am trying!).
And as many things as I am grateful for, I am most grateful for my wonderful son (who better take care of me in my old age!).
Happy Thanksgiving! Thinking of you – hope you and the fam are having a great day. 🙂 ((hugs))
