Since this is my blog, but I want to remain inclusive, I am sharing some toys that will not work in my house but may work in yours. Again, these are from the holiday showcase event I attended in NYC last Tuesday from TimetoPlay.
The first item is the Disney Princess & Me line of dolls and accessories that taps into the princess in all of us (no jokes please!). They are based on Disney Princess characters and are large scale dolls. I will have to invite my nieces over for a further review of these. We are an all boy household!
The next item would have been great a few years ago for my son, and is a fantastic idea for those of you with toddlers – Jakks new Real Construction line reinvents construction play in a very safe manor, I was very impressed with the softness of the products. It will call to the Handy Manny in all of us!
Now I concentrate on the stuff that we use! Doesn’t everyone have a motion detector in their house? We have several! (Hint – don’t forget to shut these at night!) My son loves spy stuff! Having 3 Spy Kids movies on DVD is probably what started it, but I like how it gets my son’s brain working. It’s all about stimulating their brains so we can all brag about how smart our kids are! And mine really is!
These products include high end electronics and interactive gadgets for burgeoning secret agents! And I have one! For disclosure purposes, I received a pair of the above glasses, my son loves the fact that he can “spy” on people behind him! He took these to school today and as cloudy as it was, wore them the whole time in the playground. Yes he is also influenced by the Men in Black film series! We love all spy accoutrement’s!
