Video Game Based on Silly Bandz in the Works

Because the absolute ridiculousness of these rubber bands is comical and nonsensical.

And to prove how stupid they are, I bought 12 packs (of the knock offs?) earlier today!

You see, my son had traded away almost all of his. He never got into these things at school, but recently at camp they started to interest him. He’s a tiny bit spoiled so I had to get more.

Luckily I was at an event yesterday in the wholesale district of NYC. Instead of paying the $4 I had paid for the Scooby Doo silly bandz last week, I paid $6 for 12 packs. I ain’t no dummy!

Every year or so, some genius creates the most inane thing and it catches on like wildfire. Cheap little rubber bands and they are all the rage. Congratulations to that lucky devil! Why not a video game? Why not market the crap out of this while you can! Below is the info-

Zoo Publishing is partnering with Silly Bandz to create and publish a new video game based on the company’s variously shaped rubber band bracelets. The video game is expected to release for the iPhone and iTouch in September, with a Nintendo DS version appearing during the holiday season.
