If it’s a 3 day weekend then there must be a sleep over! I dropped them off Saturday and leisurely did my shopping. This includes stocking up on $1 McDonalds Happy meal toys without the meal, after all we have to have all the Shrek 4 toys! The suburban CVS always has a 14 page sale flyer vs. the 4 page Manhattan flyer, so there are deals to be done there (I had to checkout 3 different times to work it!). All I got at Target was cheese, but wouldn’t you know, I am finishing on-line and I hear, “Daddy Mitch!”, my son was there! He was taken for his 7th birthday to pick out a toy and the whole crew I had left behind found me at Target! My mother-in-law wanted to go to a cashier far from where I was, but I did my best to tell the store we were related, it was too easy to embarrass her! They all think I am banned at many stores for my crazy couponing escapades and don’t want to be associated with me, that’s the excuse they give anyway!
I had the house to myself! I really had nothing to do, my plan was to eat very little so I could lose weight overnight, but I still have leftover BJ’s Wholesale club pastries left, so that plan did not work! I was going to get up early this morning and go to the gym, something I never do on the weekends, but I woke up too late. Crown me King of Excuses!
I did get to see “District 9.” It was an enjoyable science fiction movie. I do not think my spouse would have wanted to see it, that means if I were to see it I would have had to start it at 1030 at night, so it was good that I had the stretch of time for earlier viewing. Cause when I start a movie, I cannot stop, there is no finishing it the next day for me! I could see them getting a sequel out of this one, so they left me wanting more!
A little coupon organizing and then I am off to SI again for 2 parties, the Memorial Day barbecue at the aunts house (right behind my mother-in-law’s house) and then my son’ family celebration. Did I tell you what he requested for his birthday? Lasagna! I hope he gets his wish! You’ll have to wait until tomorrow to find out!
