No Staten Island Sunday! We had too many parties!
First was a school birthday party, we went to Shrek 4 (or whatever the real title is). I find the Shrek franchise enjoyable so we would have gone at some point anyway. There was quite a lot of Wizard of Oz feel to some of the story, kind of lazy on the part of the writers, I guess they are running out of ideas. Again, I was entertained and happy I got picked to be a chaperone. And I am a big mush, I had tears at the end, just a few!
From the movie we walked to a restaurant, it was like being on a field trip all over again. I am a tad loud so I kept herding the 8 kids, this is Manhattan after all. Nice lunch at Brother Jimmy’s, having the food there was a great idea as each kid eats free if there is a corresponding adult! I like that deal and I like that food!
Old man that I am , I was allowed to take a small nap at home after the party. We had another birthday bash to attend for dinner. My sister turned 50! Where did the years ago? I know they have been stolen from me!
We had dinner at Jasmine on 7th Ave, used to be Saffran. Delicious Asian food. They kept bringing appetizers until we were full. (I cannot get enough Chinese style spare ribs.) That’s how I like to eat! My family did quite well with that as well.
Needless to say the SERIES finale of Lost was on, I stayed up all night watching with great confusion and was so exhausted I have to share this with you on Monday!
