My sons out grown clothes have been sitting in a pile in his room for a few months now. And then I discovered that he jumped a size in the Italian clothes, he completely skipped size 8 (he is only about to turn 7 in a few weeks) and of course I had accumulated over a dozen pair of Armani Jr. Jeans for him that he cannot ever wear. I had to clear out everything from 2 closets to see what I had packed away, and I had a lot. I do feel quite organized now. And you know all those cleaning products I purchased were in the way of everything!
Housing Works is my charity of choice for clothing donations. They have grown a lot since we started bringing our clothes in to them. We do get a nice tax receipt, and they get a lot of clothes. I had my son help me over there with my shopping cart, it was piled so high things were constantly falling. But the house is clear! I have my spaces and surfaces back!
And guess what time it is now? Time to shop and reclutter! Just kidding, this time I am learning a lesson (should we take bets on that?)
